Do not be afraid when it comes to talking to your parents about puberty and what you are going through. They are there to be your support system during your adolescent to adulthood years. If you do not feel comfortable talking to your parents, you can always consult your school nurse.

To dispose of a pad or tampon, wrap with tissue paper and throw into the garbage. Do not flush either down the toilet as they are too thick to be dissolved.
