What is menstruation?

Menstruation often referred to as period is part of the normal body functions for females going through puberty. This is normal for all females. During menstruation a woman’s uterus is relieving blood and tissue from the unused egg that has the ability to produce life.

Why is there seclusion during menstrual periods in some communities?

Seclusion in some communities is to have the girl stay by herself while she is going through here motional changes.
