What happens during menstruation?

Menstruation is the release of an egg that is stored in a female’s ovaries. Every female has thousands of microscopic eggs stored in her ovaries instilled from the time of birth. Every 21 - 35 days the ovaries will release an egg down the fallopian tube. When the egg leaves the ovary this is called ovulation. After the egg is released into the fallopian tube, a sot lining is formed inside the uterus. The lining is meant to help in the event that a sperm meets an egg for the event on bearing a child.

What is menstruation?

Menstruation often referred to as period is part of the normal body functions for females going through puberty. This is normal for all females. During menstruation a woman’s uterus is relieving blood and tissue from the unused egg that has the ability to produce life.
