How do I know when to empty Silky Cup?

How do I know when to empty Silky Cup?

At a minimum, you need to empty it every 8-12 hours. You never want to leave anything in your body too long without removing it. After that, it all depends on your flow. You will quickly learn how often according to your own body. Most women find that they need to empty it once in the morning and once in the evening, but again, it depends on the person. The Silky Cup can be worn overnight.

Silky Cup also is unlikely to get full and leak as even the smallest menstrual cup can hold up to 20 mL of fluid (the largest tampon can absorb 18 mL of fluid). The biggest cup can hold up to 30 mL so it’s highly unlikely that it should get full and leak unless you’ve chosen the wrong size.

Many find the cup comfortable and easy to wear. Others may find that the stem may bother them. It’s important to give it a few cycles to try and see where it sits and see what’s right for them. Silky Cup offers you the ability to trim the stem if you find that it makes you uncomfortable or aware of it. It is recommended, however, that you keep at least half the stem.

At first you may be aware of its presence, but you will get used to it. If inserted correctly, it should not cause any pain (providing you have no medical conditions.) Virgins may experience some discomfort upon initial use. Vaginas naturally expand and retract in order to have sex or give birth, so an average woman should be able to handle the cup just fine with practice. It will not affect the tightness of your vagina.

You should not be able to feel the cup whatsoever when used correctly. If you do, then it has been inserted incorrectly and too closely to the vaginal opening. Simply reinsert the cup higher.
